Calligram Notes
Calligram will accept short films (that are completed or in post-production), from copyright owners or from licensees who have acquired distribution rights from copyright owners. Proof of copyright ownership or control of distribution rights may be required from anyone submitting a film for any of Calligram’s services.
Calligram’s business relationships will be exclusive to the copyright owner or to the party that controls distribution rights to the short film under consideration. Calligram will not share, download, duplicate, imitate, or advertise any submitted short films with any third parties without first contacting and obtaining approval in writing from the film submitter.
The maximum allowed length for a short film submitted for evaluation is 25 minutes, including credits. There is no minimum length for your film.
Calligram’s fee, to the amount of $99.99 per film submitted, will be paid in advance and is non-refundable.
An active and password protected URL link to a service currently hosting the short film under consideration must be provided at the time of submission. URL links that require the viewer to download the film will not be accepted. If the URL leads to a privated video, the parties that submitted the short film forfeit their rights to the ‘Calligram Notes’ service. Filmmakers will not be contacted by Calligram to provide working links.
Short films must be submitted through the Calligram website before 12:00am (X Date). The ‘Calligram Notes’ service will be provided by (X Date). Please provide a working email address to receive the ‘Calligram Notes’ service.
Calligram reserves the right to prioritise the criteria of its ‘Calligram Notes’ service, in an order chosen by Calligram, to the amount of 300 words minimum.
If the dominant spoken language in the film is not English, the film must be submitted with English subtitles.
Calligram is not obligated to make any further communication with the film submitter after the ‘Calligram Notes’ service is provided.
The copyright owner or the licensee of distribution rights from the copyright owner must accept the ‘Calligram Notes’ Rules and Terms of Submissions at the time of making their submission.
Submissions that do not comply with the ‘Calligram Notes’ Rules and Terms of Submissions forfeit their rights to the ‘Calligram Notes’ service.
